7 Years of Building Granth our Way

7 Years of Building Granth our Way

It’s about time we introduce you to the masterminds behind making Granth what it is. These creatures most likely have split personalities – geeky in front of the workstation, party animal otherwise. In the end, it all comes down to living life passionately, isn’t it?

This paragraph has stayed exactly the same while everything else around it kept changing. The website changed. The design changed. The layout changed. Even the way we talk about our work changed.

But this stayed.

Because this is not content. This is personality. This is Granth.

Seven Years Ago, We Didn’t Plan “Seven Years”

No grand road map.
No five-year vision deck.
No “where do you see Granth in 2030” discussion.

It started with work.
Then more work.
Then better work.

Somewhere between deadlines, late-night calls, design debates and “let’s try one more version,” Granth quietly grew up. Not overnight. Not dramatically. Just… steadily.

Seven years later, we are still doing what we started with. Showing up, thinking hard and caring deeply.

संवाद से कथा, कथा से ग्रंथ
From connection comes story, from story comes Granth.

Raw. Real. Random.

Everyone Picks One (Sometimes All Three)

Some of us are raw. Blunt opinions, honest feedback, zero sugar-coating.
Some are real. Process-driven, grounded, obsessed with getting things right.
Some are random. Ideas at odd hours, strange references, sudden sparks that somehow work.

Nobody is forced into one box. Everyone takes care of their own flavor.

And that’s the point.

Because creativity does not come from uniformity. It comes from people being… people.

Everyone here has their own Obsession

Ask anyone at Granth what they obsess over. And you will get different answers.

Someone will obsess over how a plan is executed. Someone else will worry about keeping communication clear. Another person will focus on making sure the process runs smoothly. Someone else might obsess over finding the simplest and most effective solution.

These obsessions are not a problem. They are the reason the work looks effortless. These obsessions do not clash. They layer.

That’s how our work ends up looking simple on the surface and thought-through underneath.

We Learned by Doing and Redoing

There were no shortcuts. No magic formulas. No overnight success stories.

Just briefs, conversations, confusion, clarity and a lot of thinking.

Over time, we stopped chasing what looked good and started focusing on what made sense. We learned to ask better questions. We learned when to push back. We learned when to let go.

And slowly, our way of working became clearer.

We care about How we Work, not just Who we Work with

In these 7 years, one thing became very clear to us.

It is not about working with everyone. It is about working the right way.
We like structure. We respect guidelines. We take responsibility seriously.

But we also value freedom. The freedom to think, to question, to suggest better ways of doing things.

That balance is important to us. Always has been.

Working with corporates is not about size. It is about freedom with responsibility.

We want to work with organizations that:

  • Respect brand guidelines but trust creative thinking
  • Value clarity over chaos
  • Understand that good design takes time and thought
  • Treat agencies as partners, not vendors

We are happy to take agency-level responsibility. Timelines, systems, consistency, scalability. But we also want the freedom to think, question and suggest better ways.

That balance matters to us. A lot.

BTS is neither perfect nor glamorous. And that is OKAY

There are days of:

  • Too many tabs open
  • Too many versions saved
  • Too many calls that could have been emails
  • And emails that should have been calls

There are discussions that go nowhere.
Ideas that do not make the cut.
Designs that look great but do not work.

And then there are moments when everything clicks.

That contrast is part of the process. And honestly, we would not want it any other way.

Growth came from Playing Safe?

No! Growth came from taking responsibility.

It comes from:

  • Owning decisions
  • Standing by the work
  • Fixing what does not work
  • Learning from what does

Responsibility was not forced on us. We chose it.

We grew by:

  • Saying no when it did not feel right
  • Taking on work that scared us a little
  • Owning mistakes instead of hiding them
  • Refining processes instead of blaming chaos

The growth was not loud. It was intentional.

The People make Granth what it is

You can redesign a logo. You can rewrite a website. You can update your brand’s voice. But the people? They define everything.

The thinkers. The doers. The overthinkers. The problem-solvers.

Granth is a group of people who care deeply about what they do.

7 years later?

We are still curious!

Curious about:

  • Better ways to communicate
  • Smarter processes
  • Cleaner systems
  • Brands that need clarity and not noise

We do not claim to know everything. We just promise to think deeply before creating it.

Seven years is not the finish line. It is a pause to look back, smile and then move forward.

Still geeky at workstations.
Still party animals after.
Still living life passionately.

Still Granth.

Here’s to the work done.
And the work yet to come.

कथा जारी है…
Every story we tell keeps evolving.
