Short on Time? Get the Key Points

You know Diwali is around the corner when even the office starts looking forward to a little break from deadlines.

The usual conversations about projects, presentations and pending work slowly make room for something else.

“Diwali ki shopping ho gayi?”
“What are you wearing?”
“Office decoration kab kar rahe hain?”
“And most importantly, mithai mein kya aa raha hai?”

Suddenly, everyone has a plan. Everyone has an opinion. And even the people who usually say, “I am not really into dressing up,” somehow show up looking their festive best.

That’s Diwali. And at Granth, it has a feeling of its own.

जब हर कोना रोशनी से भर जाता है…

There is something about seeing your everyday workspace dressed up for Diwali.

The same desks where we spend hours working, the same corners where ideas are discussed and the same meeting rooms where deadlines are chased suddenly look a little more festive.

Lights go up. Decorations find their place. Someone is busy fixing something that was already looking perfectly fine. Someone else is making sure every little corner gets its festive touch.

And then there are unofficial decoration supervisors. They may not be holding a single decoration, but they definitely have suggestions.

“Thoda aur idhar.”
“Yeh wala better lagega.”
“Wait, ek baar lights on karke dekhte hain.”

Somehow, everyone becomes a part of it because the best part of decorating a place is not always how it looks at the end. It is the people who make it happen along the way.

काम थोड़ा, मस्ती ज़्यादा?

Well, let’s not exaggerate. Work is still there.

The deadlines do not magically disappear just because Diwali is around the corner. Emails still arrive. Calls still happen. And someone will definitely ask, “Can we quickly finish this before the holidays?”

But the mood is different.

There is a little more laughter between tasks. A few more conversations around the festive plans. A little more excitement when someone walks in wearing something new.

And let’s be honest, the festive dress code deserves its own appreciation.

The people who plan their outfits days in advance. The people who decide at the last minute. The people who say they are keeping it simple and then arrive looking like the main character.

And, of course, the photographs.

One group picture becomes five. Five become fifteen. Someone wants a candid. Someone wants a proper pose. Someone is checking every picture before allowing it to be shared.

“Ek aur lete hain, ismein main achha nahi aaya!”

There is always that one person. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

मिठास सिर्फ मिठाई में नहीं होती…

Diwali is incomplete without sweets. We do not think that needs any explanation.

The boxes open, the sweets make their rounds, and suddenly everyone knows exactly where to find the mithai.

But there’s something beyond the sweets. It’s the person who remembers to bring something for everyone. The colleague who makes sure nobody misses out. The little exchanges that happen without anyone planning them.

A box of sweets shared across a desk. A quick “Happy Diwali!” between two busy people. A conversation that starts with work and somehow ends with holiday plans.

These little gestures may seem ordinary, but they make the workplace feel warmer. Because sometimes, the sweetest part of a festival is simply having people around to share it with.

हर किसी की अपनी रौनक

At Granth, no two people bring exactly the same thing to the table.

Different personalities. Different ideas. Different ways of looking at things. Some bring the energy. Some bring the calm. Some keep everyone laughing. Some quietly make sure everything gets done.

And then there are the people who somehow manage to do all of these things.

We spend most of our days working together, figuring things out, exchanging ideas, solving problems and occasionally disagreeing over the smallest details. But festivals give us a chance to see one another beyond our everyday roles.

The designer who is usually busy perfecting a layout becomes the person arranging the decorations. The person who barely speaks during meetings suddenly has the best festive jokes. The one who is always chasing deadlines is now chasing everyone for a group photograph.

And somewhere between all of this, you realise that a team is built through moments that don’t always have anything to do with work.

eeeeee

रोशनी बाहर भी, भीतर भी

Diwali has always been associated with light.

We light our homes, decorate our spaces and welcome the festive season with hope. But perhaps the light we remember the most isn’t always the one hanging above us.

It is in the people who make difficult days easier. In the laughter that breaks a long workday. In the support that shows up when something doesn’t go as planned. In the small wins we celebrate together and the bigger challenges we figure out as a team.

At Granth, we’ve had our share of ideas that took time, plans that changed along the way and moments that needed everyone to pull together.

And through it all, the people around us have been a big part of the journey. That’s something worth celebrating because a workplace becomes special when the people in it make it feel that way.

त्योहार खत्म होता है, यादें नहीं…

Soon, the decorations will come down.

The festive outfits will go back into the wardrobe. The mithai boxes will be empty. The photographs will find their way into everyone’s gallery, and the office will return to its familiar rhythm.

There will be emails again. Meetings again. Deadlines again. And probably someone asking, “So, what’s next?” But a few things will stay.

The photographs we’ll keep going back to. The jokes we’ll bring up months later. The little moments that made us laugh. The feeling of being together without having to think about what comes next.

Maybe that’s what makes celebrating Diwali at Granth special.

It’s not just about how beautifully we decorate the office or how many pictures we manage to take. It’s about the people who fill the space with life.

The people who turn an ordinary workday into a celebration and a workplace into a place we are happy to return to.

fffff

कुछ खुशियाँ, कुछ यादें और हम सब

As another Diwali comes around, we find ourselves grateful for the people, the experiences and all the little things that make this journey ours.

For the ideas we’ve brought to life. For the challenges we’ve figured out together. For the laughter in between and for the memories we keep adding along the way.

At Granth, we spend our days creating things for others. But some of our favourite creations are the memories we make with each other.

So, here’s to brighter days, fuller mithai boxes, slightly less serious office conversations and many more reasons to come together.

Happy Diwali from our Granth family to yours.

May your days be filled with light, your homes with warmth and your moments with people who make life a little more beautiful.
